About Us
My name is Marco and I come from Bologna, Italy. My wife and I went on holiday to Kenya 20 years ago and we fell in love with Watamu. That day, we bought a house and a boat, and have been living in Kenya ever since.
We have a true passion for fishing, entertaining and good food. We love to host, so we invited our family and friends to Watamu to share in the beautiful experience. Word quickly got out about our holidays and we had too many people wanting to stay with us.
This is when Alfajiri House & Fishing was born. We renovated the house to make it comfortable for guests by building a new kitchen, staff quarters and installed a dining table that can seat 10 people. Each night, our chefs cook the fish we catch, offering a unique culinary experience with great food and wine.
Now we are pleased to offer an all inclusive family holiday where there is something for everyone.
Deep sea fishing off Watamu Coast
The fishing experience off the coast of Watamu is second to none. It’s one of the only places in the world where you can catch three types of Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Giant Trevally and many more!
We take anglers fishing for half days or full days, leaving early in the morning before sunrise. Every type of angler is welcome, from beginners through to experts.
