We have a true passion for fishing, entertainment, and good food. We love hosting, so we invited our family and friends to Watamu to share this wonderful experience. News of our vacation spread quickly, and many wanted to stay with us. That's how Alfajiri House & Fishing was born. We renovated the house to make it comfortable for guests, building a new kitchen, staff quarters, and installing a dining table for 10. Every evening, our chefs prepare the fish we catch, offering a unique culinary experience with excellent food and wine. We are now delighted to offer an all-inclusive family vacation, where there's something for everyone.

Captain Abdala

Abdala was born and raised in Watamu, Kenya. His passion for fishing began as a child, helping his father fish in the Watamu shoals on their sailboat. As he grew older, he landed his first job as a crew member at Hemingway, where he fished for marlin and large pelagic fish aboard the best fishing boats in the area. He quickly rose through the ranks to become captain of one of the best boats in Kenya. He learned a lot during this experience, becoming one of the best captains around.

One day in 2013, he took Marco on a charter boat to the best fishing spots and caught a 250-kg blue marlin. Marco was so pleased with his knowledge of the area and his boat handling that he decided to purchase his first boat in Kenya, the Alfajiri, with Abdala as captain. Since then, Marco and Abdala have become friends and shared fishing experiences, catching several trophy fish, including a 900-pound Black Marlin after a seven-hour battle.

Abdala speaks five languages ​​fluently: Italian, English, German, Swahili, and Arabic, and always finds a way to make you laugh and ensure a great time on board.
